Description

VASE Construction is seeking a full-time Construction Project Architect with an architectural background to join our team in New Haven, CT.

In this role, you'll work closely with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to bring high-quality designs to life across a variety of public and private sector projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Review architectural designs and construction plans for feasibility and compliance.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project goals are met.

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance.

  • Coordinate and develop construction documents and technical specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

  • Utilize project management tools such as Procore to streamline workflows.

  • Conduct site visits and participate in construction administration (Physical requirements: Visual review of documents, typing, traversing construction sites on foot)

Qualifications

  • 3 to 10 years of post-graduation industry experience.

  • Strong background in architectural design, especially educational or cultural projects.

  • Advanced knowledge of construction drawings, and specification documents.

  • Working knowledge of building codes and construction documents.

  • Strong design sense, building technology and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Familiarity with Office 365 and project management platforms (Procore or similar).

  • Experience with government, healthcare, education and commercial work projects.

  • Creativity and experience with high-quality design.

  • Understanding of construction documents, including technical specifications and document coordination.
