About Us and the Position:
VASE, based in New Haven, CT, is a Construction Management and Real Estate Development Company specializing in new construction, renovation, and the alteration of existing buildings and infrastructure, and serving clients statewide.
VASE is currently looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a construction related field or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience. This opportunity requires a minimum of 7 years of commercial construction experience with extensive knowledge of understanding budgets, design, and estimates, scheduling, purchasing and overall project management. This position will provide management direction for multiple projects at a given time and assistance with preparing bids and proposals to secure new work.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Project managers are responsible for representing the company in owner and subcontractor project meetings. Candidates must have strong computer skills and experience with MS project, word & Excel, Procore or equivalent experience.
What You’ll Bring to VASE/ Responsibilities:
Minimum 7 years of relevant commercial construction field experience
Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
Ensure plans, specs, and project documents are adhered to (Strong plan reading skills)
Architects are encouraged to apply
Coordinate/ meet with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to contract documents
Conduct site visits to inspect work quality, safety compliance, and progress
Manage project budgets, cost estimation, tracking expenses, and approving invoices
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process
Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
Proficiency in Procore or similar software (Develop/ maintain project schedules
Strong construction estimating skills.
OSHA Certification and Valid Driver’s License
