VASE Management and A.Prete Construction (Construction Managers), on behalf of The Glendower Group, Inc./ Elm City Communities/Housing Authority of the City of New Haven (Owner), are redeveloping two sixstorey buildings. These will consist of senior/disabled high-rise development, providing 65 homes/one-bedroom and studio apartments for residents 62 years and older, as well as residents with disabilities.
The project’s approximate square footage comes to 53,000. Work will consist of abatement, site work, steel modifications to the elevator shaft and new elevator, new kitchens, floors, painting, window, door replacement, other general trades, new roof, MEP, new generator and switch gear. The total construction cost is approximately $7 million, which includes public and private funds.
