VASE Management (General

Contractor - House Move),

on behalf of Dakota Partners,

managed the house move

of the 1890 Historic Banton

House, formerly the home of

state Sen. Andrew Mygatt.

This home later housed Miss Barton’s Day Care/Kindergarten, and most recently operated as a bed & breakfast run by former town residents Ray and Rachel Barton. The project consisted of new construction of 34 multi-family rental apartments and historic restoration of four multi-family rental apartments, preservation of the house’s historic features, and moving the house to a new foundation closer to the street during renovations. The project covered approximately 3.5 acres. The total development and construction cost came to approximately $12 million, including public and private funds.
