VASE President is WBDC 2024 Women Rising Awardee
In celebration of Connecticut’s women entrepreneurs and the business leaders, the 2024 Women Rising Annual Gala & Awards Celebration of the Connecticut Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) was held last Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Connecticut.
VASE President Vincencia Adusei is among the Women Rising Awardees of the evening, along with entrepreneurs Sofia Byrnes (Cottontails Childcare and Learning Center) and and Hope Lee (Lashes by Lee & Co.), Chrisann Miller (The Ital Juicery Company®), Rachel Precious (Precious Oysters), and Giovanna Quispe (Rise & Shine Nursery & Pre-K Academy).
The Women Rising Award is presented annually to WBDC clients who show a strong commitment to WBDC and demonstrate success in their business and tenacity in pursuing their goals. Since early 2023, Vincencia has worked extensively with WBDC Business Advisors. VASE Management received an Ignite grant (then named Equity Match Grant) from WBDC in May 2023 and used the funds to purchase a new truck, allowing the VASE team to get to and from construction sites more easily.
Further highlights of the evening include Carla Harris, Author and Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley delivering a Keynote Speech and recognition of outstanding women entrepreneurs with the following awards:

Apart from honoring Connecticut’s women entrepreneurs, the annual Gala also successfully raised critical funds to support women-owned businesses across the state.
