Construction Estimator/ Project Manager Needed

JOB INFORMATION.

Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Job Type: Full-Time
Min Experience: 5+ Years

DESCRIPTION.

Experience Estimator (5+ years’ experience) to generate competitive cost estimates for hard bid, competitive, negotiated, AND design/build on commercial and residential projects. Critical eye for quality and accuracy. Ability to see the details in project visions, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively. Plan, lead, coordinate activities associated w/ project's budget, bid, and buyout.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY.

• Create onscreen takeoff from blueprints

• Verify drawings and specifications

• Assemble budgets, bids/estimate cost, and value engineering

• Contact vendors and subcontractors for pricing

• Submit and review RFI’s, review addendums

• Meet subcontractors to conduct site visits

• Follow up

• Prepare schedule of values

• Prepare schedule and phasing plans (identify long lead items)

• Maintain bidding calendar

• Effective communication w/ existing clients and potential clients

• Some project management, Change orders

• Ability to travel as needed within State
