Estimating Capacity

  • Preparation of detailed estimates (conceptual, schematic, design development, construction document).

  • Assembles the estimate including general conditions, special conditions, insurance, and bond

  • Prepare and analyze cost models during design development stages.

  • Assure that the estimates are accurate, complete, and reflect the actual requirements of the project. This includes assuring that there are an adequate number of qualified and sound subcontractor proposals received and evaluated.

  • Assure that potential risk factors have been evaluated and reviewed with upper management.

  • Maintain subcontractor evaluations.

  • Assemble the pre-construction material for presentation purposes to the owner (i.e.: Design Development Estimates or Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Proposals, etc.)

  • Keep current changes and trends in methods of construction, materials, construction costs, and escalation.

  • Identify & qualify new material suppliers & subcontractors, & place in to the subcontractor database.

  • Participate in the RFQ/RFP formulation process.

  • Manage staff of 3 estimators all at varying levels; trained and reviewed work.

  • Maintain research lib and subcontractor plan room.

  • Initiated the review and selection of new estimating software system, including productivity database.

  • Developed the procedures to provide common work ethics and direction for the team.

Project Management Capabilities

  • Formulate and process change orders

  • Negotiate contracts, coordinate scheduling, review and process shop drawings.

  • Ensure projects awarded at a profit, productive, and quality ending.

  • Secure projects at equitable process.

  • Cost code estimate for computer project material and labor cost reports.
